Veterans Day Singing

Rachel sang with the school choir at the Veterans Day assembly yesterday. Unfortunately, I was so far back that I couldn't video tape her very well.  During the national anthem, all the students stood up so I really couldn't get good video. Oh well.  Here is a brief snippet if you are really interested:

Halloween Report

We began our Halloween fun on Friday with a trunk-or-treat and games at our church.

We got the glow-in-the-dark masks at the Dollar Store. The girls thought they were cute for a few minutes, then never wore them again.

A candy cane for Halloween?? It is either a little early or somebody's left overs from last Christmas??

I dressed as a can of bug spray to try to control by buggy daughters:)

We carved pumpkins with friends. It was fun;)

I love Jean's creative pumpkin! I'm going to buy plants and put them in my Jack-o-lantern next year!! Too fun!!

After a long night and too much candy, Erin Joy fell asleep on the floor reading a Christmas toy advertisement. She fell asleep on the Barbie page. She studied that page for quite some time:)

Halloween night began at school with our regular Monday "Literacy Night" reading with Rover program. One dog was dressed as a ladybug just like Rachel...

And the cat was dressed like a bee...just like Erin Joy!! More fun!!!

Four bugs!!

The girls got to pet some goats while trick-or-treating at a local "trunk-or-treat."

The fire station is always one of our favorite places to go for candy.

Our local museum was all decorated and a fun place to stop at too.

Ah, the good ol' days...

Pumpkin Patch

 My rule is you have to be able to carry the pumpkin in order to choose it.  Erin Joy could barely lift this pumpkin, but she was determined. This was her perfect pumpkin.

 The corn maze was closed when we got there. We missed it by five minutes. They close early to change it into a "haunted maze." Oh well...saved me some money by not having to buy tickets. The train, hayride, and pumpkin cannon are only open on the weekend too. Shucks.

 The best part of our day...enjoying a beautiful sunset...
