We didn't stay in a teepee this time. We stayed in a tent. The girls are posing by the teepee we stayed in last summer which happens to be the very same teepee Rachel stayed in when she went to our church's girls camp! She was so excited to show me. In fact, she had to tell me where everyone in our ward (congregation) stayed. I had quite the tour:)
Playing at the ropes course...
Riding horses....
This is a board that we were in charge of designing and painting. Thank goodness I have an artistic friend who came up with the design! I took a few pictures to show her the progress.
Thumbs up for funnel cake!
The board was painted by children and teenagers. They did a great job!
Erin and her friend painted necklaces while Rachel and her friend went on a trail ride.
Erin made a great attempt to climb the wall. She tried the "intermediate" side which had less footholds. The footholds were smaller too. She didn't make it to the top, but she was close. She would have easily made it to the top of the easier side.
Rachel had fun with the tomahawk throw.
When we left, the board looked like this. It still needs the black outlining and the final spray of clear polyurethane. Hopefully somebody finished it. We left when the rains became too much for my tent...
We had fun playing cards with our friends at the campground.
We also enjoyed a wagon ride.
The girls had fun with a watermelon eating contest.
And of course...hours were spent at the slip and slide...
We never had a canoe ride this year. We also want to go white water rafting. Next year....
